N. Jakarta Bamus Betawi Holds Cultural Arts Festival

North Jakarta Bamus Betawi will hold Betawi and Nusantara Cultural Art Festival 2018 at Gorontalo Park, Sungai Bambu Urban Village, Tanjung Priok, from Saturday (12/29) until Monday (12/31).

In this chance, awards will be also given to the best three art studios

Committee Head, Syamsudin mentioned, this event will be opened at 3 PM-11 PM on the weekend, and especially at New Year's eve, it will be held until 12.30 AM.

5,000 Visitors Targeted to Visit Setu Babakan

He explained, this event will show many Betawi cultural arts such as lenong, gambang kromong, melayu orchestra, ondel-ondel and also bands.

"A wards will be also given to the best three art studios since those are active and play an important role in preserving Betawi cultures in North Jakarta," he conveyed, Friday (12/28).

He hopes this event can encourage young generations to grow their talent and enthusiasm for knowing and loving Betawi cultures better.

"The point is, we want to preserve Betawi cultures," he said.
